Liaise Women’s Centre

Liaise Women’s Centre is a small but very active venture that provides a safe and supportive environment for women in Woking to network, learn new skills and find information on a range of issues.  We have had good co-operative links with Liaise for some years.  We offer some financial and other support – including supplying sewing machines and craft materials, arranging for external painting of the centre’s premises and improving the external space around the centre. One of our members is a on the Group’s Management Committee. Last year, the donation we made was used to buy dictionaries for the English classes. Learning should be quicker and easier now!I  n summer 2018, we were delighted to welcome some of the Liaise women to our ‘Tea & Temptations!’ fashion show where they displayed and modelled very attractive garments they had made.

Elaine, a member of Soroptimist International of Woking & District,  is a highly-appreciated member of the Liaise Women’s Group Management Committee – seen here at the event to celebrate of 20 years of Liaise work in the community:
