Marlie (in our photo) has been a Soroptimist for 30 years, Katharine for 35 years and Elizabeth for 45 years!!<\/p>\n<h1>Hamlin Fistula Hospital<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2023\/04\/Knitting-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6406\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2023\/04\/Knitting-2-300x242.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2023\/04\/Knitting-2-300x242.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2023\/04\/Knitting-2.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We are knitting square for blankets!\u00a0 The Hamlin Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia aims to treat and prevent injuries when women give birth.\u00a0 The Hospital gives every woman who comes for help a <a href=\"https:\/\/hamlinfistulauk.org\/how-to-help\/mothers-day-comfort-pack-appeal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comfort Pack<\/a> on arrival.\u00a0 The Comfort Pack includes useful items for their stay in hospital.\u00a0 When they leave, the women take everything with them plus a new dress.<\/p>\n<p>The Pack includes a warm knitted blanket and this year, the Hospital is appealing for 1,000 blankets!
