They include:<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Victims of War \u2013 Your Sanctuary (Surrey) &#8211; Esteem Ahead<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Red Box Project \u2013 Women in Prison \u2013 Women&#8217;s Support Centre<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Liaise Women&#8217;s Centre\u00a0 and Shifa (Woking)<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>We are<strong>\u00a0inspired by Women \u2026 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We appreciate the friendship, ideas and encouragement we get from meetings and visits to other Soroptimist Clubs: for example, SI Sunderland\u2019s statue of Molly the WWII Welder is a triumph of vision and persistence. Inspired by SI Stourbridge, we are knitting blankets for women in Ethiopia. And we may follow SI Barnstaple\u2019s example on combating the spiking of drinks \u2013 they give out free kits with fluorescent bottle stoppers and adhesive foil lids for the glasses<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2026\/07\/Shifa-Mural-H.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7293\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2026\/07\/Shifa-Mural-H-300x287.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2026\/07\/Shifa-Mural-H-300x287.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/woking-and-district\/files\/2026\/07\/Shifa-Mural-H.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Part of the inspirational biodiversity mural created by SHIFA women under the guidance of local artist Sally Ferguson in the new Community Green Hub on Horsell Common.\u00a0 A great example of what women working together can achieve!<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Railway Station Safety Survey 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>SI Woking took part in this survey by the Soroptimist International federation (SIGBI), so we are glad to see the published results.\u00a0 But they show that safety for women needs to be better.
