A membership drive was held at The Hive, Worcester in May 2016. It was a successful day where Soroptimist members spoke to visitors atthe library and encouraged women to join our organisation.

A membership drive was held at The Hive, Worcester in May 2016. It was a successful day where Soroptimist members spoke to visitors atthe library and encouraged women to join our organisation.
A table top sale was held in April 2016 to raise money for Deaf Direct of Worcester and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Also at the sale were items for Margaret’s Peru charity.
We had an open garden and plant sale on the 30th May 2015 and raised £500 for our charities. Thank you for all those who attended the weather was kind and a great day was spent by all.

During a fun filled evening funds were raised for the Ugandan schoolgirl sponsored by our club. Members and friends made floral cupcakes under the superb direction of master ‘chef’ Lynda Owen. Before trying our hands at making the cup cakes Lynda demonstrated her art by creating a number of stunning confections which Lynda kindly donated as prizes. Below Lynda with one of her cakes.

The annual SI Midland Arden Regional Public speaking competition was held on the 15th march 2014 at Solihull Civic Centre. Our candidate Eleanor Wait from New College Worcester presented on the topic of ‘Is technology a substitute for the brain?’. Her amusing and well constructed 4 minute talk was very well received and she stated that she was pleased to have taken part in such a high quality competition.
