Belonging to a region as well as a club gives Soroptimists the opportunity to make friends with like-minded women from a wider area, and gives members the opportunity to share ideas and motivate each other to work even harder to help women and girls in our local communities, throughout our region, nationally and internationally.

As a region we can also be more effective in helping others, with each club having its own individual themes and charities. We are working in unison with the UK Programme Action Committee (UKPAC) and with our Soroptimist International Foundation. We are proud to be part of our 100 year old organisation which has consultative status at the United Nations (UN).

The 13 Regional clubs meet at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Community and Activity Village, Lord Hawke Way, Newark NG24 4FH, twice a year in November and June. We are also using a virtual platform to meet once a year in March for Region matters.  Our members are using both zoom and face to face meetings to conduct their business.  Currently, we are keeping in touch by emails, phone calls, letters, newsletters, text messages (WhatsApp) and of course Zoom meetings. Come and check us out and contact the clubs in the Region for more information.
