Ongoing Programme Action

At the heart of Soroptimism are the projects we do to Educate, Enable and Empower women and girls to achieve their full potential. The members of our Club know that the enablement and empowerment of girls would be impossible without the education of both our girls and boys.
Each year SI Anaparima helps primary and secondary school children of less fortunate homes, by filling out their booklists, and in some instances providing bookbags and school uniforms as well.
Last year we were able to cover booklists for 51 students. That’s 51 boys and girls who will not be denied an education due to an inability to afford the school requirements. And that’s 51 children who are better poised to understand the importance of gender equality in achieving sustainable development!
As we collect booklist requirements for these vulnerable children, we’d appreciate your donations of any amount. Feel free to contact us via the numbers on the poster above for any further information.
