In 2021 Soroptimist International celebrated it’s 100th anniversary. As part of the celebration, trees were planted by Soroptimists all over the world. Over 125,000 trees were planted. Here in Bolton, we arranged for a tree to be planted in the grounds of Bolton Parish Church. The tree is now established and thriving. It can be seen on the hillock to the right of the main entrance path. A plaque has been fitted to mark the commemoration.
