Awareness

Painting Shoes

Ahead of our Orange the World Campaign, members painted shoes orange. These shoes will be displayed in shops for the 16 days of activism between 25th November (The United Nations Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and 10th December (Human Rights Day)

Social

Swimarathon

Members and friends took part in the 50th Guernsey Swimarathon which this year was raising funds for the Cheshire Homes. We swam 48 laps (96 lengths) between us and raised £345.00

Star Gazing

Members were invited to La Societe Guernesiaise astromony section. It wasn't the clearest of evenings, but were shown around the telescopes and the positions of galaxies and stars were explained. Then a gap in the clouds saw us all gazing skywards and different constellations were pointed out to us. Some were lucky enough to see Saturn and its rings before the clouds came over again. We all hope to go for another visit and learn more.

Beach Clean

Members cleaned Les Amarreurs Harbour and beach. The findings were logged on the Clean Earth Trust Website
