S.I. Mansfield & District was founded in October 1957 and during the last seventy years we have seen many changes not only in our club but overall in equalities for women and girls. We are now a small group of local women who are passionate and committed in continuing the ethos of this movement, as there is still lots to be done. There are many members in our club who have dedicated over 40 years to our organisation and contributed to its success in a variety of ways throughout their club membership.
Our club president is elected annually, the secretary’s role usually is for 4 years as is the treasurer and communication/membership. The current line-up is President Elect – Mary Howson. Secretary – Carol James. Treasurer – Julia Hutchinson. Communication/Membership – Kam Britland. Members are all encouraged to participate and to take on various responsibilities for operating an effective club.
