About our club
Mansfield and district was chartered in1957, and since has developed into a lively, energetic and committed group of 40 members. With Programme Action to the forefront of our fundraising activities, we are supported by our hard working and obliging Social and Hospitality team. In fact so popular are events such as the annual craft fair, it is the public who attend & support us, that ask when we will be organising another.
A Worldwide Organisation working to help women and children. Soroptimist International (SI) strives for Human Rights for all, Equality, Development and Peace, International goodwill, understanding and friendship.
SI is committed to service, locally, national and international communities.
As a global voice for women and girls, we achieve this by Advocacy, Awareness and Action.
Mansfield & District SI meets on the 1st Tuesday and the 3rd Monday of each month with the exception of August, supper meetings with a guest speaker will take place at 281 Nottingham Road, Mansfield and the club meeting which includes the AGM. will take place at the Mansfield Bowls Club on Queen Elizabeth Academy site on the 3rd Monday of each month. We start our meetings at 7.30 and aim to finish by 9.30pm.
The Social and Hospitality team prepares the diary for the President and books the guest speakers for the dinner meetings. The President may choose a charity in which we fund raise throughout her term in office for this. She is well supported by the club secretary and members..
