Urgent request from Your Sanctuary

Member Nansi who looks after our projects with Your Sanctuary, our local women's refuge, received a request for urgent supplies of our welcome bags whilst she was on holiday. Our Club supplies individual bags of cleaning products for Your Sanctuary's clients to use during their stay. In conjunction with Jacky, another Club member, Nansi arranged for supplies of eco friendly cleaning products to be ordered and delivered whilst she was still away. Then on her return, she filled the bags with items such as tea towels and bin liners before taking them to be filled with the pre-ordered cleaning products at Jacky's home. The bags were then delivered to the refuge to await the arrival of new clients. The refuge explained the urgency was due to the fact that the clients were staying for shorter periods meaning that more women would be helped. All in all, another 12 women welcomed by the Soroptimists.
