About our club

The club is part of the SI Southern England and Channel Islands region. Regional meetings are face to face meetings held three times a year and are characterised by high quality thought-provoking speakers and provide an excellent opportunity to discover the work of other clubs. The meetings are well worth attending, several of our members have served on the Regional Management Team. We also participate in Region projects

You can join us in our campaigns to empower, enable and educate women and girls, let no-one be left behind

A club by women for women, where everyone is heard

Traditionally clubs have had a President and Executive Committee. To achieve a more equitable distribution of projects and responsibility, we moved away from this format.

We further developed this to put Programme Action at the heart of how we are organised.

Currently all members opt into one or more of the programme action groups. We also encourage members with individual interests and charities in which they may be involved.

Members of each group take responsibility for managing the business meetings and organising speakers or other activities for the supper meetings.

Soroptimist International has consultative status at the United Nations. Our projects and activities link to the Sustainable Development Goals.
