Soroptimist International is the world’s largest service organisation for women, working through projects to educate, enable and empower women and girls.

Soroptimist International is a non governmental organisation with direct access to the United Nations
It has over 3000 clubs in over 120 countries. Soroptimists are women from a wide range of professions and occupations, including the voluntary sector. They are from all age groups, ethnic groups and culture.

The local Soroptimist Club is Yeovil Sherborne & Districts, covering the towns and villages in the surrounding areas. It has a lively and diverse group of about 20 women members.
