Ann Page became President of the club in April 2017.

We continue to support the Soroptimist theme  Women Inspiring Action and Transforming Lives and intend to help this theme develop and grow.

Our support for the Meru Women’s Garden Project  in Kenya is now in its second year and training sessions have been held to train women in better agricultural practices and enable them to have greater independence and a better standard of nutrition.

The club continues to support a water station at the Shakespeare Marathon and also Mary’s Meals.  A group of hardy club members continue to cultivate  the garden adjacent to the Nicol Unit at Stratford Hospital which give patients, staff and visitors to the ward a colourful outlook all year round.

A fundraising concert is being held on 13th May and all proceeds are to be equally divided between the Shakespeare Hospice and the League of Friends of Stratford Hospital.  Further fundraising events are to be held to support Meru Women’s Garden.

Stratford upon Avon and District Club have been very pleased to welcome 7 new members during the last year but would be delighted to introduce more people to the aims and objectives of  Soroptimism and interest them in joining the club. If you would like more information or to arrange to attend one of our meetings please contact us.
