Quiz Night Success!

Cannock Soroptimists held another fabulously successful quiz night last weekend. They raised £960 which will be shared between Pathway women’s refuge; Staffordshire Women’s Aid and the Unit for vulnerable women at New Cross maternity department. These are three groups which Soroptimists support on a regular basis – preventing Violence against Women and Girls is a cause Soroptimists all over the world campaign for, whilst they continue to work to support those who suffer as a consequence of VAWG. 20 teams took part in the quiz which was organised by a team led by Soroptimist Tracey Stokes. The quiz itself was set by President Trish Smith; the winners were “We are Smarticus” – and they proved they’d chosen the right name! The raffle was very well supported by everyone – winners chose a numbered bottle bag with no idea of the contents – surprises all round! Everyone enjoyed the whole evening, including a delicious fish and chip supper - there was a real buzz in the room all night!
