Welcome to SI Cockermouth and District

We are part of a worldwide women’s voluntary organisation working to improve the lives of women and girls at a local, national and international level.

Cockermouth is a market town situated a short distance outside the English Lake District on its north-west fringe. The name refers to the town’s position by the confluence of the River Cocker into the River Derwent.

Our club was founded in 1981 and boasts 38 members some of whom join us from Carlisle, Penrith and Whitehaven.

SI Cockermouth & District meet on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at Hundith Hill Hotel, Lorton Vale, Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 9TH 700pm for 7.30pm.

You can contact us at:  CockermouthSoroptimist@googlemail.com
