On Tuesday 14 July we enjoyed a talk from Kathryn West about her time in the Metropolitan Police which she has written about with Mark Robertson in their book "From Handbags to Hand Grenades". It was extremely interesting to hear about the changes for women police officers over the thirty years from 1990 to 2020 and the challenges still remaining. We had advertised the talk widely in the local area and we had a full house at the Epsom Club including people who already knew about Soroptimists and others who had never heard about us before. We were also able to tell people about our club and the projects we are involved in.
