Our Projects – Making a Difference Together
Through our Programme Action, we work together to improve the lives of women and girls in Milton Keynes and around the world. From supporting our local charities and providing essential items to raising awareness and creating opportunities, every project is designed to make a positive difference.
We believe that everyone has something to offer. By combining our time, skills, ideas and friendship, we can empower women and girls, strengthen our community and help build a brighter future.

Small donations, making a big difference!
Started in 2015, SOS is one of our longest-running projects. We have donated over £6,000 worth of toiletries to our local charity partners, supporting women and girls who struggle to afford everyday essentials.
Working with MK Act, UnityMK, YMCA MK and SAASSBMK, we help provide basic toiletries and sanitary products, restoring dignity, confidence and a sense of normality.
How you can help
We welcome donations of new and unused toiletries, including sanitary products, soap, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, combs and hand and body creams.
Collection points:
- Great Linford Parish Council Offices
- Mead Centre, Newport Pagnell
- MK Snap, Walnut Tree
- Redhouse Surgeries, Bletchley
Alternatively, email [email protected] to arrange collection.
Together, we can make a real difference, one essential item at a time. Thank you for your support!

50p for MK Act – Small Change, Big Difference!
In 2025, MK Act celebrated 50 years of supporting people affected by domestic abuse in Milton Keynes. To help fund a much-needed new refuge, they challenged local organisations and individuals to raise money in creative ways.
Our members decided to collect 50p pieces, setting ourselves a target of £100 by November. We asked family, friends and people we met along the way to join in.
We were delighted by the generosity we encountered! From a kind gentleman in a café who donated three 50p pieces to members of a local ladies’ group and a new friend inspired by our project, our little collection soon grew.
By December, we were proud to present MK Act with a cheque for £400 – four times our original target!
We continued the project in 2026, raising a further £125 during Big Give Week, which will be match-funded.
This project shows how small acts of kindness, when added together, can make a big difference to the lives of women and families rebuilding their futures.
