About our Club

SI Norwich was chartered in 1952.

We are  part of an International organisation for women who are interested in helping others, serving the community ,working together and  enjoying themselves.

We are one of the Clubs in London Anglia Region   including  Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn.

We meet twice a month at 7pm  on a Monday evening …..a speaker  meeting and a business meeting, plus  various social events

Our venue is the Norwich High School , 95 Newmarket Road, Norwich , NR2 2HU.

 

 

At Home we support :

Opening Doors.  –  a self help group for people with learning difficulties http://www.openingdoors.org.uk

4women               – a resource Centre  for  women released from prison or on probation

EACH (East Anglia Children’s Hospices.)  http://www.each.org.uk

Leeway Women’s Refuge,http://www.leewaysupport.org

Offer prizes for attendance at a local primary school

Help collect litter on a local walk /cycle pathway.

Collect  toiletries and food for Food Banks in Norwich and Cromer.

 

In the past  we raised funds for:

Blood Bikers          –  2016/2017

Norwich YMCA     –   2015/2016

 

Internationally  we fund raise for:

An Education Project in Hillcrest, South Africa  via  London Anglia Region

The new  Federation project  Empowering Girls in Nepal : Project Ambassador Joanna Lumley

 

Social Events 

Social events often involve  food , sometimes held  at member’s homes. There are walks , a plant sale, fashion show and theatre trips – often combining fundraising with social activities.
