Helping women rebuild confidence, resilience and hope following trauma

Soroptimist International Perth has continued its commitment to supporting women and improving lives within the local community by making a generous donation of £1,500 to Trauma Healing Together, in support of women accessing its Pathways to Hope project.

The donation reflects the club’s longstanding dedication to empowering women, promoting wellbeing and ensuring that those facing difficult circumstances have opportunities to rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence and hope.

Trauma Healing Together is a Scottish charity dedicated to supporting people affected by psychological trauma. Its work recognises that traumatic experiences can have a profound and lasting impact on emotional wellbeing, relationships, self-confidence and everyday life. Through compassionate, trauma-informed approaches, the organisation seeks to create opportunities for healing, recovery and renewed independence.

The Pathways to Hope project offers an important focus for this work, recognising that recovery from trauma is often a gradual and deeply personal journey. For women who have experienced significant challenges, access to understanding, encouragement and appropriate support can make a meaningful difference in helping them regain confidence and look towards a more positive future.

By contributing £1,500, Perth Soroptimists are helping to support the charity’s efforts to make these opportunities accessible to women who may otherwise face barriers to receiving assistance.

The presentation of the cheque was also an opportunity to recognise the dedication of those working to improve the lives of people affected by trauma and to highlight the importance of community organisations working together to address social and emotional challenges.

Supporting initiatives such as Pathways to Hope is closely aligned with the wider Soroptimist mission of educating, empowering and enabling women and girls to achieve their potential. Across the world, Soroptimists work to challenge inequality, improve opportunities and support projects that make a practical difference to individuals and communities.

For the Perth club, this contribution represents more than financial assistance. It is an expression of solidarity with women facing adversity and a recognition that everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward with renewed confidence and optimism.

Through its support for Trauma Healing Together, Soroptimist International Perth is helping to turn compassion into practical action, offering encouragement and hope to women on their journey towards recovery.
