Soroptimist International Scotland North held its Regional Meeting and Annual General Meeting on Saturday 19 September 2026, hosted by Soroptimist International Aberdeen. The event brought together members from across northern Scotland for a day of friendship, discussion and collaboration, united by their commitment to improving the lives of women and girls.

Representatives from Soroptimist clubs in Aberdeen, Perth, Easter Ross, and Inverness and Nairn attended the gathering, sharing news of their activities, community initiatives and ongoing projects.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for members to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements and explore ways in which clubs could work more closely together to address the challenges facing women and girls in their communities.

A highlight of the day was an informative and thought-provoking presentation by Dr Kylie Murray from Perth, who spoke about the current situation facing people living with endometriosis in the UK.

Her knowledgeable and enlightening address drew attention to the challenges surrounding awareness, diagnosis, treatment and support for those affected by the condition. The presentation prompted considerable interest among members and inspired a strong call for greater awareness, improved healthcare provision and meaningful action.
