About Our Club

Welcome to the  Soroptimist International of Great Yarmouth, part of a  the world’s leading international women’s organisation.   Through a combination of service freindship and fun we undertake local, national, and international projects to benefit women and girls.

Locally members  have helped with a range of  projects  and fundraising events, including providing essential items at a local women’s refuge,  a swimathon which raised funds for local children’s charities,   table top sales to raise funds for our  international charities,  together with great  social evens which are always  enjoyed by all.

We meet at 7.30pm usually  on the first and third Mondays  of the month at Christchurch King Street, Great Yarmouth.  The first meeting  covers  a mixture of club business and  project related activities.  Our second meeting is usually an opportunity for us to hear a local speaker, invited  to speak to us because of their interest in women’s issues or as a result of their links with  a charity or project that we wish to support.

We are an active club   with a mix of  approx 30 members   from business and a range of  professions and  organisations.  If you live or work in the Great Yarmouth areas get in touch we would love to meet up with you to tell you more about what we do .
