Welcome to Soroptimist International of Richmond and Dales
We are members of a lively and friendly club which is part of a global, international organisation committed to a world where women and girls together can achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong and peaceful communities worldwide.
As individuals we come from a wide variety backgrounds with the common aim of advancing human rights and the status of women locally, nationally and internationally through service projects. In doing so we have a great deal of enjoyment and friendship.
The membership of our club is very important to us and we always welcome new members. If you are interested in finding out more about what we do and how we do it you are most welcome to come along to one of our monthly meetings held on the third Thursday of every month at which we have speakers on a wide variety of topics. Have a look at our website to see our programme for the year; to look at past and present events and meetings; and to get a flavour of our activities – you can contact us through this website.
The main focus for this year is to raise local awareness of Domestic Abuse and Dementia, together with raising funds for Water Aid and the projects of our friendship link club SI Harare. We hope to able to make a donation towards the new garden at Garget Walker House as well as several other smaller charities.
