About our Club
Welcome to our King’s Lynn club website.
We are an active club with around 30 members.
Our meetings are held generally on the first Monday in the month as detailed in the programme section at Marriott’s Warehouse, South Quay, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 5DT
The evenings start at 6.15pm for those who wish to have supper with the meeting commencing at 7.30pm.
On Thursday 20th April, we held our 42nd Annual General Meeting at Marriott’s Warehouse, King’s Lynn.
During the year the club raised funds from various events including a literary lunch, strawberry tea and bridge drive.
West Norfolk Girl Guides were presented with a cheque for £550 at the meeting to assist funding for voluntary work abroad.
Our other charities for the year Lend with Care and Tools for Self Reliance had previously been given cheques for £550 and £306.
The club programme action (project) activities had been wide ranging from members attending school assemblies on healthy relationships, collecting bras and jewellery in the Vancouver Quarter for International Women’s Day 2017, assisting with English lessons for migrant workers and not forgetting the now annual Public Speaking Competition.
Our club continues to attract new members who bring with them fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
In addition to the monthly meetings we hold numerous events during the year, some of which are included on the events pages as well as being shown on the programme page.
Non-members are welcome to attend, by arrangement.
