Background
Since 2022 the region has been run by a Regional Management Team (RMT).
This was mostly due to the lack of volunteers for the Presidential role, and the encouragement that many clubs have successfully used this model. Most of the key officers of the region were identified, and we have carried on quite happily.
There is nothing against continuing this way, or returning to a President with a succession team, but for now we run the region using this model. Now that we have SI Guernsey and SI Jersey joining our region, we hope that there might be more volunteers for regional office.
Vacancies
We currently have vacancies for:
- Membership and Development Officer;
- President / President Elect / Vice President;
- Regional Secretary (from Nov 2027);
- Regional Comms Officer (from Nov 2027);
- Regional Archivist;
- Federation Liaison Councillor.
Updates
The RMT updates regional council meetings in a combined report format, that appears to have gone down well with the members. Major announcements to the region will continue to be made via the News page on this website and via our Facebook pages.
