President’s message

I am extremely delighted to be taking over the Club President role for 2012-13.  The club has had a fantastic year under the stewardship of Anne Lines and I am hoping to continue taking the club forward with an informative, interesting and fun-filled calendar of events for the forthcoming year.

The programme includes a mix of high quality speakers covering a range of subjects from a charity that helps women in Bangladesh become empowered to run learnings and savings groups and bring themselves out of poverty to hearing about the work of a charity that helps women offenders to re-enter the workplace to an insight into the life and work of a local magistrate.  In addition we will be celebrating our Charter with an afternoon tea at a local historic house and having a number of fundraising events throughout the year – all in support of my Presidential Charity – Women of Action (www.womenofaction.co.uk).

Please do look at our full programme of events and we are always happy to welcome potential new members of visitors from other Clubs if you want to come along.  We meet on a Tuesday evening at a local hotel for networking and a light supper followed by a speaker presentation and then onto the business aspect of the meeting.
