It is with great pleasure that President Gillie O’Rourke and I invite you to attend the 92nd SIGBI Conference in Cardiff from Friday 30th October to Saturday 31st October 2026.

The focus of the 2026 conference is INSPIRE WOMEN, CREATE IMPACT.

Whilst you are in Cardiff there will be plenty of time for you to explore the city. Cardiff is the capital of Wales and is known for its blend of history and modern culture, as well as its sporting significance. It’s recognized for iconic landmarks like Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium, as well as a vibrant waterfront at Cardiff Bay and a thriving arts scene.  The city is the heart of Welsh rugby, centred around the Principality Stadium, and is a hub for other sports with a variety of national sporting centres and grounds. It is also a centre for arts and culture, home to the Wales Millennium Centre, the National Museum Cardiff, and a lively music scene that has produced many famous artists. In recent years it has also become a major production hub for film and television, notably for shows like Doctor Who and Torchwood.

Lastly, Conference lets us catch up with our wider Soroptimist family as well as be inspired by what we do and what we achieve. Bringing our collective work together in one place demonstrates the local impact of each small part and also showcases our greater impact when viewed together. Come join us and be inspired!
