Our Global Reach

SIGBI has clubs on three continents – there must be one near you!

Our global reach

What Does a Club Look Like?

Clubs bring together women of all ages, backgrounds and experiences. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths—every member brings something unique, and every voice matters.

What Do Clubs Do?

Clubs meet regularly—sometimes monthly, sometimes twice a month—either in person or online, bringing members together to hear guest speakers, share expertise, and plan and deliver projects that support women and girls locally, nationally, or globally. Each club chooses its own focus areas within the Soroptimist vision, reflecting our bottom-up approach where members shape the work they want to do

What Does a Meeting Look Like?

There’s no single model—every club is different. Meetings reflect the interests, priorities and creativity of the members. You decide what matters most and how you want to make an impact.

Who Runs the Club?

Most clubs have an Executive team—typically including a President, Treasurer and Secretary—who help guide activities. However, the members are the decision-makers. The Executive supports the club, but the direction comes from you.

What Else Does Club Membership Offer?

A voice in SIGBI governance: Clubs are the voting members of SIGBI, and members can contribute to decisions at the SIGBI AGM, usually held during conference.
Friendship Links: Clubs can form international links with Soroptimist clubs worldwide, collaborating on shared projects, fundraising and global action.
