A volunteer service women’s organisation for women, where everyone is heard
Formed in 1948 and currently known as the Region of Northern England. A collective of volunteer Women’s Service Clubs to network, collaborate, share knowledge, service, activities, friendship across the North of England.
Our objective to work together to support and improve enable and empower and transform the lives of Women and Girls – in our Communities – in our Country and Internationally.
Ten Clubs form this baseline of the network, with the regions across Great Britain and Ireland under a federation base called Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI). SIGBI has over 5000 members in 250 Clubs across 18 countries.
SIGBI in turn links with four other federations – SI of The Americas, Europe South West Pacific and Africa.
