Soroptimist International - Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and District

Soroptimist International of Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and District is part of a worldwide organisation of women, which is linked to the United Nations.

Welcome to our club website

We are an active group of women who are committed to making a difference to the lives of women and girls, locally, nationally and around the world.  Working together, we use our shared skills and experience to take action on a range of issues and at the same time form friendships that can last a lifetime.

Our club postcard was designed by Michelle Wood at Sea Tern Print.

As part of a truly international movement, our work has an impact beyond our club and Soroptimist International’s role in the UN gives us a global voice. Find out more about the vision and mission of the Soroptimist movement here.

You can find out more about what we do by going to About Our Club and Club News on the menu on the right of this page.

If you’re interested in joining us, or have any questions about our club,  please contact our Membership Officer,  Louise, on lbower6@aol.com or come along to one of our meetings. We meet at 7.00 pm on the second Monday of the month, except for August, at The Crescent Club, Victoria Crescent, Cullercoats, NE30 4PN.

Why not begin the festive season on 6th December at our Christmas concert with two wonderful local choirs, Tyneside A Capella and Compass Acapela. The evening of festive favourites begins at 7.30 at St George’s church, Cullercoats. For more information and to book tickets go to https://jinglebells.eventbrite.co.uk
