Friendship Links

Most Soroptimist Clubs have links with other clubs either in the same Federation or across the world in other Federations.

Our links are with SI Cape of Good Hope, South Africa and SI Crieff in the North Scotland Region of SIGBI.

We have a new link with SI Durban, South Africa, established and registered on 18th February 2012.  We look forward to a long and benefricial link.

Ann, our Friendship Link co-ordinator, is also our Progranne Action Officer and wanted to combine the two roles by supporting Cape of Good Hope in one of their projects.   After discussion we agreed to help their support of Claremont High School by providing some funds to buy books.   We raised the funds by the sale of hand made necklaces – made by Glennys, one of our talented members, and by having an afternoon tea,  with hospitality provided by Ann in her home.  We sent the funds and also labels which will identify the books as having been provided by SI Ramsbottom, a friendship link club of SI Cape of Good Hope.  The members of SI Cape of Good Hope purchased the books on advice from the school and the President handed them over with all best wishes from SI Ramsbottom.
