Presidents’ message

For the first time in the club’s history, Soroptimist International of Dewsbury will have four presidents this year.  At their recent Annual General meeting, Mrs Elaine Hough, Mrs Julie Thompson, Mrs Jane Macaulay and Mrs Carol Ashbury were installed as new presidents, each holding office for three months of the year.   “It is always a challenge for our club to gain a president, as the four of us have been presidents previously it was a great solution to overcome the problem” said Elaine Hough who will take on the role for the first quarter.   Their chosen charities for the year will be Marie Curie Cancer Care and a local charity Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust in Mirfield.
