Soroptimist International of Colchester and District is part of a worldwide organisation of women, which is linked to the United Nations.

Welcome to SI Colchester and District

Our Club meets monthly on the 4th Thursday at the Oaks Community Centre, Harwich Road, Colchester and we welcome new members. If you are interested please contact: 01206 570139.  In addition we hold a number of social events.

Our members represent a variety of professions and are united by friendship, a desire to help others and have an interest of belonging to an international organisation. Please come and join us.  The meetings are chaired on a rotational basis.

Kori Project

Members and their friends knitted jumpers, hats and vests for the Kori project an ongoing programme to send items to Africa and keep new born babies warm and protected.  As always Soroptimists helping to educate, enable and empower women and girls throughout the world.

Starter Bags

On Monday 3 Starter Bags were delivered to ‘The Next Chapter’ our local Colchester Women’s Refuge. These bags contain all the essential items you would need if you are moving out of the refuge into a new home.  They are extremely well received as you can see from the comments below: We hand out the bags to our clients as they leave and move on to the Next Chapter of their lives.
