What is UKPAC?
Soroptimist International is the world’s largest women’s service organisation. Through our Consultative Status at the United Nations, we strive for equality, peace and international understanding. We are committed to a world where women and girls together achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong and peaceful communities worldwide.
The UKPAC is a sub-committee of the Federation Programme Action Team, which is a member of the management board of Federation Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) Limited. – The UK Programme Action Team deals specifically with UK Clubs, their Programme work and UK issues.

UKPAC Aims & Objectives
Promote the objects of Soroptimist International and SIGBI through Programme Action work and assist in this work in the UK.
Provide a link in the UK between SIGBI and governmental and non-governmental organisations, the regions and clubs of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and ensure the work supports the maintenance of SIGBI’s UN Economic and Social Status. (ECOSOC)
The focus of the work of UKPAC is Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and in particular
- Domestic Abuse and Coercion
- Elder Abuse
- Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
- Forced Marriage and Honour based Violence
- Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking
- Reducing Women’s Imprisonment
United Nations The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. United Nations 5Ps (People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, Partnerships) and the 3Es (Educate, Enable and Empower) and 3As (Awareness, Advocacy and Action) we aim to bring about significant improvements for all by 2030, opening up all sorts of opportunities for achievement of aims to help women and girls be the best they can be through inspiring action and transforming lives.

Biennial Study Day – Every other year the Committee stages a Study Day. .
UKPAC Meetings – Three meetings per year are held on a Saturday: November, March, July. All meetings (apart from Study Day) are held at the Ramada Hotel, The Square Solihull West Midlands B91 3RF. Google Map
