Club member Ann-Marie Parker gave a fascinating illustrated talk about war artists.
In January our speaker was immediate past president Jenny talking about Mobilising a Community.
Apart from a wonderful table of food and drink we were entertained by members of the club and guests. To much laughter the play performed by members and friends for our enjoyment was Whow Snite and the Wheven Dwarfs. Proceeds from the party (£120) went to Safer Places (our local women’s refuge) together with Christmas gifts for women and children, bought and festively wrapped by members and friends.
At our Christmas party we were delighted to see Valerie Kent. It was an opportunity for President Pam to present her with her long service award for 25 years though it was subsequently revealed that she has been a Soroptimist for 40 years, so she is in line for her 40 years award!
