Soroptimists across the Federation were recognised for their work during 16 Days of Activism at the NAWO Awards
We are humbled and delighted to announce that Soroptimists across the UK and Ireland have been awarded the NAWO 16 Days of Activism Award, presented at a ceremony held at the House of Lords on 10 December 2025.
Chosen from a strong field of inspiring nominations, this award recognises Soroptimists’ ‘outstanding contributions to stopping gender-based violence’. It is an honour that reflects the unwavering dedication, creativity, and passion shown by Soroptimist clubs and members across our Federation.
Every year, Soroptimists throughout the world embrace the 16 Days of Activism with energy and conviction, organising awareness-raising events, delivering impactful campaigns, and supporting local and international initiatives to end violence against women and girls. As we showed in our nomination, Soroptimists have volunteered 3,773 hours and raised £21,579 for relevant causes since January 2024, demonstrating the scale of our commitment.

“We are incredibly proud of our members,” said President Elect Kate Belinis (pictured left with Soroptimist Margaret Clarke), who represented Soroptimist International UK and Ireland, along with other members.
‘This award belongs to every club and every member who takes the 16 Days of Activism to heart. Your determination, your ideas, and your commitment to raising awareness and taking action continue to inspire, year after year. Congratulations to all involved.”
