SI Beverley and District held their AGM at the Beverley Arms Hotel on 25th April.
Mrs Kate Goddard was granted Honorary Membership of the club in recognition of her 44 years of service to Soroptimist International. Kate continues as an active member and regularly meets Soroptimist friends at the SI Federation and International Conferences that she attends. President Jenny presented Kate with flowers and grateful best wishes on behalf of the Club.

President Jenny Heppenstall agreed to continue her excellent Presidency for a further six months and to induct a President Elect during that time.
Thanks were given to retiring Secretary Liz Lyle for her sterling work over the last four years. The post will be job shared by Chris Davidson and Juliet Novis.
Catherine Driscoll agreed to take up the reigns of the Treasurers role once more following the excellent covering role carried out by Chris Benson over the last few months. Thanks were offered to Chris for ‘holding the fort’.
Barbara Evamy will continue to manage the Charity account and to prepare press and publicity reports, and Jenny Heppenstall will retain the Regional Representative and Programme Action roles.
The Secretary and President reported on an active and interesting year, with several Programme Action events and projects completed. The programme for the coming year was shared with members and promises to have something for everyone – social and service, fun, food and friendship, to educate, empower and enable.
The Club members have worked over the last three months to prepare the Club’s Development Plan. All members have been asked to join one of the subcommittees and a representative from each will join the Executive Committee in steering the Club’s activities, outlined in the Plan, over the coming year.
