Federation President Margaret Emsley, along with Immediate Past International President Ann Garvie and Margaret Baker (Chief Steward for the Malta Conference) will be going down the fastest zip wire in the world (and the longest in Europe) on 11th August 2016 (for more details go to www.zipworld.co.uk  and look for Velocity). The zip wire experience is being financed by SI Staffordshire Moorlands. If they survive that Ann and Margaret Baker along with some other Soroptimists will be taking the Demon Rides Challenge at Alton Towers on 13th August 2016.  As well as having fun, they hope to raise money for the Diamond Education Grant. If you would like to sponsor them, please make your cheques payable to “Diamond Education Grant”, and write “zip wire” on the back or include a note to that effect.  Send them to SIGBI HQ, 2nd Floor, Beckwith House, 1-3 Wellington Road North, Stockport, SK4 1AF.  There is a sponsorship form you can use to encourage more sponsorship – please note that individual donations specified on the sponsorship form can be gift aided but you cannot gift aid a donation made by a Club with no individual listings of donations.  You can also donate online through the SIGBI Website:
