SHAX is a charity based in Dumfries, who supply starter packs to people who have been homeless and whose children often have nothing of their own.
The ladies involved in the proposed Club have been helping to gather items for backpacks which are provided to the children.
Items for the backpacks include lunch boxes, a ball, pens and pencils as well as basic toiletries like a toothbrush and shampoo. Special packs for babies are also made up with baby grows, a feeding cup and baby lotion etc
