Welcome to the webpage of the Soroptimist International Enfield & District, your local branch of this international woman’s organisation. We are women from all backgrounds who are making time in busy lives, seeking to raise awareness of issues facing women locally, nationally and internationally.
It is privilege to be President of Soroptimist International Enfield and District.
Our Club aims to promote the values of the Organisation to Educate, Enable and Empower the lives of women and girls.
This year has obviously been strange due to the Pandemic; nevertheless we have continued to strive and make progress.
All our meetings are held on Zoom and there is a full of programme of action.
This varies from Mask-making, Quiz Nights, attending London Anglia Region meetings, and also participating in other Clubs’ activities.
SI Enfield is also a member of Enfield Climate Action Forum ENCAF and Enfield Over 50s Forum.
Our Club might be small in number but is big in terms of action.
We also have three new members who have recently joined.
On the whole it has been rather a successful year.
I would like to thank all members for their support and hope that we will continue to further the aims of the Club.
SI Enfield is also engaged in a fairly large Tree Planting Project in the London Borough of Enfield.
This is in celebration of the Soroptimist centennial year (2021).
This year the club is working on a number of projects which are outlined on the activities – Programme Action page.
At the same time we are providing friendship and social activities.
We are always pleased to welcome new members to our committed and friendly club.
