A group of like-minded women, we are united by our passion for improving the lives of women and children locally, nationally and internationally. Our organisation will be 102 years old this year, having started in California in 1921. There are now Clubs all over the world working together to transform the lives of women and girls with nearly 72,000 Members in 121 countries.

OUR CLUB
We are a very friendly group of women who meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm (usually) at The Ipswich & Suffolk Club, Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3BE https://www.ipswichandsuffolkclub.co.uk/; we also have meetings via Zoom during some of the winter months or when a speaker is not local to us. WHAT THE IPSWICH AND DISTRICT CLUB DOES
We are involved:
Locally – we lobby and undertake projects that benefit women and girls with organisations such as Lighthouse Women’s Aid https://www.lighthousewa.org.uk .
Our latest action for Lighthouse: providing canned and dry goods to form a starter pack for those who are leaving the Refuge and moving into their own accommodation.
We also support Suffolk Refugee Support who do such a brilliant job for their clients https://suffolkrefugee.org.uk
Regionally – exchanging ideas with nine other clubs in the London Anglia Region.
Nationally and Internationally fundraising and campaigning and supporting girls education and emergency situations such as women in Ukraine and the Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.
