In her welcome speech, President Jean-Marie Gavey thanked His Excellency Vice Admiral Jeremy Kyd and Dr Karen Kyd for allowing the Club to host the 25th Anniversary of the Award recognising some of the passionate, hard working inspiring women we have in our Island community. The 113 guests included SIGBI Federation President, Ruth Healey, seven previous Award winners together with some of this year’s 19 nominees.
The three finalists were Beverley Le Cuirot, Joy Thomson and Kate Wright, who was also the our speaker.
Dr Karen Kyd, the Club’s Patron presented the Award to this year’s winner – Joy Thomson.
