Thank you to our Patron, Dr Karen Kyd for hosting SIGBI President Gillie O’Rourke and SIJ President Debbie Taylor at Government House as part of the Club’s 75th celebrations. They enjoyed a chat about all things Soroptimist over coffee and biscuits. The wives of the Island’s Lieutenant Governors have traditionally been Patrons of the Club, we thank them all for their interest and support over the years.

Last week we enjoyed a fabulous 75th anniversary celebration dinner at the Ommaroo Hotel, which is where our Club was first awarded our Charter on 9th December 1950. Thank you to Gillie O’Rourke, SIGBI President and Thomas Harris, Chair of Jersey round Table for joining us. The majority of our members were able to attend, ranging in service from an astounding 58 years to a few weeks. With may thanks for Gillie O’Rourke’s kind words recognising all of our amazing Past Presidents and members past and present, who have shaped the Club through their leadership and inspiration to make it the special Club it is today, with members ageing from their 20s to their 90s! We welcome new members, come and join us to see what we can achieve over our next decade.
