Soroptimist International Jersey is a women’s ‘service club’, which today may sound a bit old-fashioned, but it means you join with the knowledge you will give more to others than you expect back. However, membership provides an enriching environment to develop friendships and be part of Island life in a very meaningful way. Ideas of how we can help our community are always evolving, all members can make a difference.
Our Club is part of the Soroptimist International Great Britain & Ireland Federation (SIGBI), which since 2013 has had special consultative status at the United National through the UN Economic and Social Council. The other four Federations are: SI Americas, SI Europe, SI Africa and SI South East Asia Pacific.
SIGBI has over 5,000 members in 250 Clubs all who work at local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable women and girls.
