A fund raising jumble sale was held at Joyjeet Das Memorial School on Anwar Shah Road by SISK.
A programme initiated by Membership Officer Punam Agarwal who took responsibility for collection of items, venue, sorting (with other members’ help) and execution (with many SISK volunteers).
Mimi, the teacher in-charge at the school had already spread the word among families of students and in the neighbourhood who came in droves (though she said many didn’t because of the rain) and SISK could collect a good amount after incidental expenses.
The items ranged from high-end stuff and Mimi and her friends enthusiastically bought for themselves, as did some SISK members.
All in all, it was a very successful event and new Soroptimist friends/partners were made.
