On the event of International Womens Day, Soroptimist International South Kolkata conducted an awareness session. the session was conducted by Ms. Sutapa Biswas, Co-founder & Executive Director of Cancer Foundation of India.

Project “Fistful of Grains” saw its revival post covid. 60 bags were distributed to the Interactors of the Interact Club of Calcutta International School on January 25th 2024 Around 80 kg of rice was collected after a month and donated to The Calcutta Emmanuel School

Members of Soroptimist International South Kolkata went on a day trip visiting our project site in Sunderbans. Mangrove plantation and crab cultivation are the two projects undertaken in that area.

Laxmi Parsuram will be sponsoring two underprivileged and meritorious students under the “Parasuram Scholarship” for a year. The students were required to undertake a written test for basic comprehension to avail the scholarship.
“FOOTBALL GIRLS”
Preliminary meet up and talk with the the “Football Girls” Soroptimist International South Kolkata will be empowering 15 underprivileged girls coaching for football with boots and socks.
