Following in the footsteps of our first Soroptimists, who lobbied to save the great Redwoods and established ‘The Redwood Grove’ in California, SI Stourbridge& District are aiming to plant 100 trees locally during our centenary year
- An Acer Tree (Acer rubrum brandywine) has been planted at Mary Stevens Hospice with a plaque. The ongoing care of the tree will be by the tea at by Mary Stevens.

- A Tulip tree has been planted a Care Home where one of longest serving members in now living, Gwastad Hall. There are plans for a celebration at Gwastad Hall during 2021 when the tree will be planted in its permanent position. The ongoing care will be by Gwastad’s gardner.
- A tree has been planted by Hamlin Fistular with a plaque at tfhe Desta Mender Rehabilitation Centre.
- mature trees with the Dudley Local Authority are to be planted at Mary Stevens Park with plaques. Trees chosen and ordered by the LA are: 1 Ginkgo biloba; 1 Prunus ‘Kanzan’; 1 Quercus Palastris (Pin Oak).
- A rooted Christmas Tree will replanted at a local Women’s Refuge rooted
- A Scots Pine Tree will be planted at National Trust Clent,
- An Application for a community group tree pack has been submitted to provide medium year-round colour. A site – Studley Gate, Stourbridge has been identified for the planting of 105 saplings. If the application is accepted, they will be delivered and planted during March, 2021.
