AKS Young Soroptimists
The AKS Young Soroptimists’ Club was established with the support of Fylde Soroptimists and has become an inspiring example of young people working together to make a difference. From the beginning, the school has played an important role in encouraging and supporting the club, and we are proud to see how the students have embraced Soroptimist values.
The Young Soroptimists quickly became involved in meaningful projects. Highlights have included supporting the Fylde Club’s “80 for 80” toilet-twinning campaign by twinning all the school toilets, and working with the Philippine Community Fund by collecting ring pulls that enable women to create jewellery and bags, providing income to support their children’s education.
The club has also been active in raising awareness of the White Ribbon Campaign to end violence against women, showing how boys and girls can work together as advocates for change.
Fylde Soroptimists continue to support and mentor the AKS Young Soroptimists, and we look forward to working alongside them for many years to come, building friendships and strengthening the impact of our shared projects both locally and globally.
