Vera Russell who supports Javae in Nepal where money raised this year, £300, just by collecting copper will go towards creating a Community building; much needed after the earthquake in 2015 Margaret Parsons accepting an amazing £900 raised by members this year. Visitors from The Manzini Youth Care project are hopefully visiting our club in June and Margaret is off to Manzini where the money raised will be used wisely to buy materials for the school and children’s homes. Lee from Tyneside & Northumberland MIND. gave an update of the work that is being carried out was given and even though funding has been cut they are still able to be involved in the Blue Light Project and the Sally Allen project due to the generosity of donations. They are currently involved in a project to go out to police, ambulance, businesses and groups to share the message of what mental health is and get rid of the stigma. Our club presented another amazing donation of £860.
