Off to 10 DOWNING STREET!! Follow our GLOBAL BLANKET’S journey.

Just an idea – Stop the Traffik – brought to our Northern Region clubs.

FROM THIS AT. CLUB LEVEL

Nearly finished – the petition stitched together by Northern region Club President Jane Inman with individually signed squares from all clubs in our region.

A HUGE thank you to MP Alan Campbell, as ever, supporting our campaign to raise awareness of trafficking of women and young girls.

North Tyneside Mayor, Norma Redfearn, signing the last square of the blanket with Northern Regional Programme Action officer Shirley Hallam before it begins its journey to 10 Downing Street on October 18th – UN Anti-slavery day. We remind ourselves that this campaign is to raise awareness of the plight of Trafficked Women in the clothing trade. The Global Blanket has 264 squares that represent a visual petition that hopes to inspire 1 million signatures worldwide by 2019.
